Once-upon-a-time, the Northern Pacific had an industrial line to South Lake Union.
There remains a critter powered very short line, connected to the outside world thru BNSF's Interbay locomotive service. Who is the "expert" on this little line.

Note: This is not the Ballard line -t'uther side of the ship canal.

I became familiar with the South Lake Union operation in the 1950s and 1950s. If interested in a walking tour, send a note to David. He has my address.
