Just walked what's left of this line the other week. The critter is there, just down from the Ballard (road) bridge. The line itself winds along behind the Foss shipyard, and the track finally ends just short of Seattle Pacific University. Continues through as a paved bike trail after that.
There's one tiny little bit of track left further down, next to a marina of the west side of Lake Union. I'm told some local residents wanted to save a bit of the railroad, and now the tracks are part of a very pleasant little urban garden/jungle.
Ballard terminal on the other side looks good, they've done some work cleaning up the ROW since I last saw them and there were probably a dozen cement hoppers around.
