Somehow I doubt that they're counting on a weeks old holiday service in a brand new market to make or break the newly minted railroad. If anything it's the perfect low stakes place to work the kinks out of their brand new in-house holiday franchise that will no doubt be rolled out to their other railroads. As Howard and I have mentioned in past threads, Roaring Camp has decades on them in terms of tradition and recognition. It would be foolish to expect a new attraction to be full on every run after such a short period. Despite the traditional media saturation their PR firm has engaged in, every time I'm trackside I end up talking to many enthusiastic locals who were previously clueless about the new train. While most are enthused about the holiday train, 100% are excited about the prospects of a wine/beer/dinner train come spring. Time will tell...
