I would take great exception to the SP's "@#$%& canning" of the West Valley from Davis to Tehama. We spun off that ssction of the railroad in 1993 to the Park Sierra Rail Group, California Northern Railroad, in an effort to save what traffic we could and hopefully to build it up. Operations were a nightmare in 1993 from both ends of the railroad. One look at the CFNR's record and you will see they actually saved the West Valley.
I guess you had to be there.
