I also would second what Dave and Dick Samuels have stated. If you are hired the railroad will be investing a significant amount of time and money in training you for the job. They want to see a return on that investment!

Shortlines like to hire someone who is already qualified, but that doesn't happen very often.

If you do drugs, don't even bother applying.
