Last week I was visting the Galveston Railroad Museum in Galvenston, TX. In their collection is a RDC numbered 100 with the road name to Commerice & Transportation Company on the name board. In the small corner lights near the each door has the initials YW 100. In closer look of the car, it reminded me of the pictures of the SP RDC that ran from Sacamento to Okland until the service was terminated in the 1950's (I think). It has the same train boards on the fround of the car that SP installed on their RDC. It also looks like the NWP RDC that ran from Willits to Eureka, CA. It looks like it has the same SP shop modification to one end of the car that I have seen in pictures.
For you NWP historians, could this be that NWP RDC that travelled NWP rails? Does anyone have a history of this car? Or, does anyone have history on the SP/NWP RDC?
