Getting off the original subject a bit...as to the comment about the favoritism shown by TRAINS to Midwest and Eastern roads, I'll add that I haven't subscribed in years for a couple of reasons: 1) I agree with that statement about the West not getting equal coverage and
2) the lower quality sometimes of color photos compared to years prior.

A recent feature on the 50 year anniversary of Pacific Locomotive Association had plenty of Jim Wrinn contemporary tele shots while the more historic and rarer older material rated thumbnail sized images. They had an opportunity here to really showcase with photos and prose all that PLA had accomplished through the years and IMHO, only did a fair job of that. Just my opinion.
