They were aquired for Tijuana commuter service. The state (BC Norte?) aquired control of the railroad for this too. This is the 'real' reason for the new Baja California RR. CZRY is history. CZRY as always played with the cars and ran some trains for them selves and the mexicans. They outfited an ex-SP baggage as a power car. No sure whwere the cars are positioned right now. The PSRMA Museum is still cut off (by rail) from the rest of the world but that may be fixed in the near future. Toyota seems to want and eastward connection.
