2MT CTC with properly spaced crossovers would be far better than sidings. In current form the DT ABS Colfax-Switch 9 segment means a limping monster eastbound needs to take the remaining siding at Gold Run to get trains by, or if past there gum up the works forcing the DS to run against the current and block anything westbound out of Shed 10 for well over an hour. It's this reality that makes added passenger traffic a problem in the line's current state, and makes me laugh at people claiming there is plenty of excess capacity.
