On the Southern Pacific, Oakland Pier was M.P. 3.5. West Oakland on the Martinez Sub was M.P. 4.5 and on the Niles Sub was M.P. 4.9.

On the Western Pacific, Oakland Yard was M.P. 4.7.

All were measured from the Ferry Building in San Francosco.

Today under Union Pacific, West Oakland on the Niles Sub is at M.P. 4.6, while Oakland Intermodal is at M.P. 3.3 and the Desert Yard (next to the Martinez Sub) is at M.P. 4.2, which is interested because the mile post at CP 10th Street is M.P. 2.2 due to the mile posts on the Martinez Sub being adjusted after UP took over.
