1972 the MILW ran the first test train (single stacks) from Seattle/Tacoma to Chicago. I was lucky to run it from Portage to Milwaukee in the east end freight pool. This train was the first solid container train to be run. Single stack containers were being handled on trains 264 262 and 266 until then.
