Particularly if they pay the advertising people for last year's ad campaign, which , according to the Santa Cruz Sentinel last week, they have not done. 'tis somewhat of a problem. :-) BTW, Santa Cruz county owns those tracks and I believe that Santa Cruz is paying Stacy ^Y Witbeck out of gummint funds for the repairs, which still doesn't guarantee that Iowa Pacific will have the bucks to run the Xmas train. Life is very complicated in the people's republic over "there" in Cruz!! :-) Now the Roaring Camp Felton RR which has run a Xmas train for years from Felton to the Boardwalk doesn't have the constraints of the bridge issues that the Iowa Pacific does coming from Watsonville north to Cruz. Stay tuned.
