My wife and I were headed to the Capitola Begonia Festival this morning and we walked along the pedestrian path above the ROW that heads towards the trestle. In the distance we heard what sounded like a small two-cycle engine approaching from the direction of the trestle. The next thing I saw was what appeared to be a home-built speeder heading up the grade. I just managed to turn my camera on and take a few photographs as he passed by.
Don’t know how far he went towards Santa Cruz, but 15 minutes later he arrived back at the Capitola Trestle and crossed. Wonder where he is setting on and off and if he is a local resident.
