The SBD is one of POF's regular fliers...at least it was in 2007. You can also try for a ride
in their P-38 with prior approval. Extremely expensive and while skinnies might fit in there,
you cannot get comfortable at all as your chest in right down on your knees. You don't sit
in a seat, you sit right on the wing spar behind the pilot. I tried it and realized it would
not work, not at $100.00 a minute.

You wouldn't be disappointed flying in the back of the SBD. Dick Truesdale of WestSide
Models told me that the 100 mandatory hours that he had in one before flying the Corsair
was really enjoyable. His face lit up when he told me., but heck, many pilots from that era
enjoyed whatever they flew. It was a lark, even during wartime.
