"Did I miss something?"

Yes, there is no "timber heritage museum" or a tourist train. So to most it is "A thing having only and imaginary or unverifiable existence". The tourist train only consists of some unusable tracks and some random piles of rusty equipment. This after more than two decades of dreamy talk about it. Sounds mythical to me.
