The current power for the McKeen is nothing like the original power so maybe it could make it to Virginia City? On my tour it was a modern diesel power plant. The original radiators for the as- built engine were left in place but serve no useful function. Like my father driving his Model T up the grade and requiring three flushes of the radiator to make it to the top that is what confined it to Minden and Reno service.
