UP loco auction today

UP had a loco auction in E. St. Louis today. 77 locos were sold.

Most were GE B40-8 and C40-8 most going for $50-70k. Imagine most of these will be headed for South America or scrap.

Nine MP15 all DC? $180-210k - all probably for further use

Two RCCRCL for $17-19k (probably for scrap)

SD40-2 2964 was listed but pulled before the auction so lives to see another day.
