Boy, isn't that the truth!! I was a brakeman on a crew that did the short work between Tweedy yard and the Compton cleaning tracks. I would use my old 1953 Chevvy pick up to go ahead of the crew to line switches ahead, open gates and line switches back. Did you ever work that damn Reyes Spur job, Bob?
