I suspect there may be some burn-out at PB-CHSRA. Apparently they have been quietly studying Tejon again, specifically what they are calling the Bear Trap alignment and impinging on Tejon Ranch property.

Of course that's what got Van Ark fired, so it seems funny to me. They have to know there is no way this detoured route thru Palmdale could get by without a hefty subsidy. As it is they are up to $900mil just on planning.
