Excellent pictures from a rare railroad built at a cost that can't be imagined.

You were actually looking at a little bit of home here as 4045 is an official meter gauge General Electric U-boat.

4001-4040 are model UM12C built in 1963; 4041-4050 followed in 1966. An updated model CM22-7I showed up in 1995/96 as 4523-4560. These won't sound like a typical GE as all were built with a pair of Cummins engines for power. Both models are unique to Thailand as far as I know.
