Dear Divine Manifestation - Your assertions about inflation in Germany and the aftermath, common 'tho they, are simply wrong and old political spin set in stone by repetition. By the time Adolf and Co. started their rise, the German economy was rather on the mend, but a small thing called the world wide Depression had added other minefields.
Most modern scholarship on this matter has long since refuted this trumpery and, 'tho I know the mere fact will now be pooh-poohed as some kind off pointy-headed, double-domed ivory tower etc., etc. liberal college-educated vapour, I didn't get a double major bachelors degree in History and German for sending in boxtops. Possibly the only subject I have read and written more pages about than my other favourite, railroads and transportation is the period of German history between 1919 and 1945, (in the original language, of course.
Facts are pesky things, arren't they?
