Back in the fall of 1970, I was living in NWP caboose 30 at the Castro Point Ry. During dinner one Friday evening, I happened to mentioned to this young lady that I was part owner in a railroad and she understandably arched her eyebrows in suspicion at me. We took the short drive from Point Richmond out to the museum, I unlocked the gate and soon had the Model T speeder running. We had a couple of really nice rides along the Bay.
Had to use a little caution when starting with the hand crank as it liked to kick back sometimes. Never got me, but one buddy darned near broke his wrist. I forget now just where this machine first came from. We had it painted a horrible shade of blue. It had a comfortable seat and an electric horn and if memory still serves, a 2 speed transmission.
