The Portola Railcar was donated by Tom Sharpsteen, and modified to a railcar by Tom and Jim Tangeman, both (at the time) from Orland, CA. I upholstered it, and developed the center jack system for it (so it can be turned around, or turned 90 degrees to be taken off the tracks). The number 23 comes from the year of the T, 1923. It was built to resemble one that a lumber company would have built, so it's not shiny and perfect.
