The section of track mentioned by mook is the yard lead that runs from behind the Museum across the UP main line to the Restoration Shop and transfer table. This trackage was designed by the UP Engineering Dept. and built by a contractor. The tight curvature East of the UP main was the biggest problem, which the UP MOW team and the 844 crew solved (temporarily) by jacking up the last axle of the centipede truck on the tender. There was also some shoving-over of the track structure as well, so that the return pass by 844 was smoother. Much of this same lead North of the crossover was constructed wrong and is now subject to pending work to correct tight curvature. Interesting to note also, that UP Engineering placed one of the power derails protecting the flange-bearing cross-over on a curve.
