Due to the diverging from BNSF to UP of the two Bakersfield to Sacramento round-trips, Stockton is one of the very few US cities with two Amtrak stations. The Oakland to Bakersfield trains stop at the former Santa Fe station while the Sacramento bound trains (and the ACE trains) operate out of the delightfully restored, former SP station. The third former rail station in Stockton, used until the end of the California Zephyr is a sad, neglected edifice currently.
