I see they're busy re-inventing the wheel. A lot of this was already done by the TRC in the 1930s. That Kinki Sharyo trailer truck has rubber chevron suspension, which makes a truck so stiff that it's guaranteed there will be major track maintenance expenses just to keep it from derailing at speed.

I wonder where the Electroliners would fit into this sort of fancy-dancy planning and engineering. They went /fast/ and then ran [slow] on the Loop in Chicago and in the city streets of Milwaukee, just like they're boasting about in the UK. You can say the same thing about the IT lightweights and perhaps the 1929-era Red @#$%& on the C&LE.
