Most volunteer organizations have a chorus of past leaders and disgruntled members pointing out things that the current management is doing wrong. It's heightened in preservation when little fiefdoms materialize for specific projects, steam vs. diesel, etc. Everyone thinks their special interest should be the center of attention and often throw their toys from the pram when they feel slighted.
