SP 2472 Question

I was curious if the GGRM SP 2472 goup has ever considered or tried to look into doing a mainline excursion out of Stockton, CA on the BNSF Railway maybe heading west over to Richmond and return and or heading south to Bakersfield and return? Being an Amtrak route would think a mainline excursion could be run under Amtrak insurance and a deadhead move on the UP from Niles Canyon Railway to Stockton and back would not be too bad of a move on UP rails to get to tracks they could likely operate an excursion on.

Has this ever been considered?
