The previous UPS test trains KI6WDX mentions were via the Sunset Route to/from LA and effectively brought things to a standstill on an already congested line. This new UPS traffic runs on an existing train pair between Global 2 and Sparks that have been the hottest trains on the Overland for well over a decade, and therefore are not a shock to the system. These trains have been running on schedule within an hour or so when weather doesn't intervene.
