Yes, but when the prototype of an iconic class of locomotives survives--and it's visibly different from the class (in this case, the rivets), you would think at this point in time that someone/some group would preserve it (at least cosmetically)--or at least get in in protective "custody" (IE, out of the weather and protected from vandalism.)
I've always lived "out west" and have never seen a GG1 in person, yet I appreciate them for the advanced design they are and their important roll in history.
