Not related to your post, but...
I was parked at my favorite rail watching spot years ago; I was sitting, in my car, on some crushed stone, reading a local newspaper and watching the passing trains. A vehicle drove up next to me and the driver asked if I worked for the railroad. No, I said, just reading the paper and watching the trains. He didn't say much beyond the fact that he owned the property that I was sitting on; fair enough, I was next to a feed mill/equipment dealer. He didn't tell me to move, but I assumed he had issues with the railroad using his property for access to the tracks.
