YES JOhnny that trip the SP 2467 was operating on
over Altamont Pass WAS enroute from Oakland to Oakdale in northern California.
They were enroute some "Iron Horse Roundup" in Oakdale on the Sierra Railway.
It was a big BUMMER that the 2467 suffered those axle problems on
this trip. They ened up going only from Oakland to Stockton.
I think this was in the year 2001 (Late August).
Thank you --Thank you from the bottom o fmy heart to ALL
the SP 2467 crew for getting her RUNNING for the very short time she was active.
For a short time we were Blessed with TWO OPERATING SP Pacifics.
That was quite the Feat to accomplish in this modern era.
