Mike posted a topic that should be interest to Altimont press and TO and as seems to happen so often some wack job chimes in about plagairism derailing the origional subject . From what I could gather Cal Northern told the racetrack it was not interested in running the race train this year due to track restrictions. The racetrack reluctantly agreed to pay 40k for track work. Track work was completed before the train ran including surfacing and some tie replacment. Was that necessary ,fair, ethical for one roundtrip passenger train? What about the next time Cal Northern seeks goverment tax breaks and short line subsidies?
