Hi everyone! I am the Realtor in question who puts out AptosCommunityNews. Just to clarify a couple of points: I have no idea who all reads the site. While I'm sure a few friends and colleagues read it, virtually all of the commentary I've received on-and-off site has been from people I've never met (which is one of the reasons I created the site, to better get my name out there). Until today, when the poll started to get bombarded by visitors from this site and westcoastrailforums.com, the polling was going 2-1 in favor of ripping out the tracks. I never made a suggestion as to how anyone should vote, I only posted a link from the site's Facebook "fan" page drove which almost all the traffic to the poll. So most voters are Facebook users within about 10 miles of Aptos, CA, and until you all weighed in, they were expressing a strong preference to remove the tracks and convert it purely to pedestrian use.
