Well, welcome to the internet, where polls can be rigged by a third party once a fandom finds out about it and signal boosts it to the high heavens. Maybe it's high time railfans took a cue from all the brony box-stuffing and mass Tumblr activism going on out there in the 'web and gave short-sighted lobbyists trying to further their own avariced agendas a run for their money. Same thing is happening in the Heritage Valley, where grassroots railfan activism and muckraking is exposing VCTC's fradulent, collusive behavior in trying to force the Fillmore & Western out of business.

Don't be surprised if railfans start tainting more polls, or calling out short-sightedness in the comments...it will happen.
