Well folks-- after the Sutherlin, OR city council told Mr. Kirk to get a business plan which he says he had but DOESN't, and, after the Mayor told him they know of NO vacant land for a museum, Mr. Kirk comes out with THIS on his website as of late---

The Mr. LUND he refers to is NOT a Chamber of Commerce guru--but his wife Gail chairs the Strawberry Festival.. I've been investigating and will look deeper. This is great--better than Sherlock Holmes.. By the way, I find NO listing in Redding, CA for the Baptist Church he refers to.. Oh well!!

OTM Needs Your Financial Help to Move Large Items to Sutherlin
The total estimated cost to bring the following items to OTM's new site in the Sutherlin Oregon area comes to $50,000. (plus or minus a few thousand).
OTM has been gifted a 90ft railcar restaurant (former lounge/sleeper) and needs to move it from Ogden, UT to Sutherlin. As well, OTM needs to pay an $8,000 balance on a horse-drawn streetcar, and then pay to move it from the Dallas, TX area to Sutherlin. Then, moving the other OTM owned items from Sheridan to Sutherlin will take another couple of thousand dollars.
Your help is greatly needed at this time, as OTM's Imagineering/Management Team is working to raise land down payment money, and then payment and county approval and site construction funds of about $20 million.
Sutherlin area Chamber of Commerce worker Gary Lund has offered to store some OTM items until our new site is finalized (through escrow), and he has also agreed to move OTM's monorail to his site for fuel costs. Mr. Lund is also working with Sutherlin area local real estate people to help OTM secure it's new location.
OTM has been offered a Milan Italy streetcar that operates (but needs structural improvements), for $25,000.00 plus shipping costs, as well as two cabooses for the price of one. Again, plus shipping.
Plans are currently underway to take OTM's monorail and a couple of other vehicles to several fairs this coming summer to display, attract attention to OTM, find new museum members, and sell souvineirs. OTM hopes to raise several thousand dollars above the expenses of taking the items to the fairs.
Mr. Lund has also given OTM the contact information of a local grantwriter, who is willing to work with OTM to help raise the needed funds for the move.
Please consider helping OTM get these items moved to it's temporary Sutherlin storage site. An IRS tax donation receipt is available to anyone donating money for moving these museum items. Please help us raise these funds. Checks can be made out to OTM's owner, Christian Way Baptist Church, and mailed to 12143 Mac's Rd. Redding, CA 96003. While $1.00 and $5.00 gifts all help, may we ask that anyone who can afford to gift $20.00, $50.00, $100.00 or more, please consider donating the maximim that you can afford to give, as preserving historic transportation items, documents, and history is an effort that is worth your help. Railcars, autos, trucks, busses, horse-drawn vehicles "all" get lost (forever) every day, and with your help OTM can preserve a number of those items for your grandkids to see, learn from, and even take a ride on.
