You're not taking my money pretending to be effective in advocating effective passenger rail policies and goals in CA. Policy changes and goals that are within the realistic realm of things that can actually be done to at least demand equity of investment in the most cost effective projects, with sound checks and balances, so we might still do some worthwhile things in our lifetimes....instead of making allegations and motives that may or may not be true, but that one can not substantiate, and undermining the cause they claim to advocate?

I think my concerns about how CHSRA has been planned and managed are well known, and yes, our political system is also a bubbling cesspool of special interests. Which is why advocacy should be, and needs to be, one of the effective checks and balances, on such behavior And to be effective you need to be credible. That is to be fully factual in your message, and not be easily frustrated, when consensus and compromise are required, or things don't always go their way.

Policy level action, working on the rules and regulations which fund the HSR planning and projects, requiring more local consensus, and more riqorous and competitive ranking process for ranking and funding projects is something that can be incrementally changed through effective actions. Something like a North/South split, that requires bond funds to be spent on incremental project components on an equitable basis throughout the futures "system" would be good. Additional oversight and transparency in funding and contracting would be good. And, developing a system with all components fully integrated with regional and local system needs would be good, too.
