I think that's less circulated due to the internet. Model Railroad Hobbyist is a good example I think.

I hear everyone saying that about everything, music, movies etc. Are movies going away because of diminished crowds? Is music going away?

It may be just a difference of persepctive...

The one thing I really do agree with was the post above about curmudgeons. IMO that is the cancer on the hobby currently.
