Build the first segment between LA and Bakersfield (along the I-5)
Then have the project go bankrupt
Then give the segment to BNSF or UP to run some of their traffic on the deal that Amtrak can run some of the San Joaquins
Their going to waste money, might as well get something for it
Sooner or later the country is going to go broke (Germany in the 30's)
Spend it while you can, but by a wheel barrel!
