The BNSF Woodinville Sub was handy to have a few times in the past, including routing Doyle McCormick's Alco PA that way, as it would not fit through the tunnel under downtown Seattle. The line also saw at least one Southbound double - stack train during the big storm of December, 1995, when it was the only through route from Everett to Tacoma, WA. for a day.
