Jeff pretty much said it all. Schmidbauer in Eureka, the original Sierra Pacific Mill at Manila (R.H. Emerson & Son) and the remains of The Pacific Lumber Company (Mendocino Lumber Co.) at Scotia
are all that remains. Redwood Construction Company is the only contractor trucking Co. left and who ever is consigned to pick up a load can be seen on Highway 101 or 299 most any day.
