The wood products company that used to be in the auto auction business helped out a group of guys from the PLA. They allowed us to transload the SP1101 caboose from rail to a Taylor Trucking low bed on their spur. Their spur was perfect for it. Completely paved over so it was easy for the truck to maneuver into position and drag the caboose onto the trailer.

Something interesting to note for anyone planning to buy a caboose and move it to their property. The California Northern moved the caboose from Willits to there for $500.00. Taylor hauled it the rest of the way to Niles Canyon for $3700.00 (if I remember the numbers right). As you can see, the cost of moving a piece of equipment can be a reason for a museam to pass on a piece of "free" equipment.
