As far as confusing the streets - I didn't look far enough. The r/w between 23rd and 25th is a parking lot now. I was having trouble figuring out how WP got over or under the freeway, but the USGS map clarified it. Amazing how much early-1950s track has been completely obliterated. Though in the case of the yards around 25th St. a lot of obliteration is replacement by Muni Metro.
Amusing - the Google air photos of Pier 80 look like they were taken some time around the Americas Cup affair - Oracles boat is there, on the pier. And interesting that in Google it looks like the east face of that pier still has dockside tracks that are connected and usable - even if not actually used.
