The Save Our Society website states the following:

It’s hard to know the exact numbers because the Board Leadership keeps this information under wraps. This important news remains hidden. We can only guess as to why they don’t want us to know what is going on."

Let's say the board changes (I don't know enough to have a strong opinion one way or the other). Would it really make much of a difference? Maintaining membership/volunteers and attracting new members who will volunteer as well as attracting sufficient numbers of visitors is a challenge for all kinds of museums.
