To fkrock--say what you will, but I was there the whole time and I remember, including your "Committee for Responsible Museum Governance" scam. By the way, improving the track to Dozier from FRA Excepted to Class I isn't that big a deal--at least when you have enthusiastic members willing and able to do the work. Too bad they all left in disgust...

To Joe Magruder--your discussion of why there is some WP equipment at the museum raises a couple of questions: first, if there is an inextricatable link between the WP and SN, while did the Board keep the steam engines and the Pullmans, but get rid of F7 #917? Second, why did the Board get rid of GP7 #712 (after several members put a lot of work into its restoration) considering that--as the very last SN locomotive--it perfectly fit the museum's collection policy? Don't bother to say it was in the interest of getting the SN 44-tonner from Portola; that whole deal was a vastly unequal trade, designed to rid the museum of those things the train-haters were against.

To Another RVJ Refugee--amen, brother. Especially significant is your remark that the membership wishes were never considered. There were many (like me) who became involved because of our wide range of interests, tried to contribute as much as we could (because it was fun),but were cast aside.

To Dr. Zarkoff--Does it give you a feeling of deja vu when you recall reading "Animal Farm" in school? Well, it was fun while it lasted...
