Dayton is actually a mile and a half east of the Dry sort towards Shelton. It is a spot on the road with a small store a former bar and grill ( Loggers Inn) and a former Grange hall and a few houses. It is where the road turns off toward the prison and the airport and has the crossing with the gates. If you have a older Washington State DeLorme gazetteer it is on page 61 about 7 C.
