100 grain cars = 400 axles (2 axles a truck, 2 trucks a car)
(Fwiw I have never seen a grain car with six axles)

Add 400 axles to the axles on the locks and you have the answer.

If it doesn't jive, either the car count is off or the detector is not properly working.
