A wrong count up to a car or more on a train with a new crew out of a terminal usually results in a call to the DS. He/she will ask the "back room" for the latest AEI scan of the train to cross reference with the train list. An extra car or more can potentially run afoul of placement rules for grade territory, hazmat, etc.
