Interesting side note ... when LR was under construction, the contractor had a ballast hopper car on the LR tracks. To get it there and back, it was left out the Branch at a convenient spot, then they picked it up with a big loader and moved it to the other track. Empty of course; the ballast itself came in other shipments, not all of which were necessarily by rail. Not even a temporary connection was installed. Moved it around the job site with a Hy-rail loader. When they were finished, they moved it back and left it on the spur for Aerojet (now cut off at the fence because in-plant rail is gone) at the Hazel LR station for over 6 months having it moved away. Collected surprisingly little graffiti, though some did appear by the time it left.
