During the grand opening ceremony at the end of May 1999, then UP Chairman Dick Davidson dedicated the Roseville Yard in honor of retired Vice Chairman Jerry Davis.

Four new bridges were built, signals were upgraded, utility and electrical lines were put into place, and miles of pipe and fiber optic cable were installed.
